TODAY WAS AWESOME!
I drove down to Burlingame to get Shelby and her friends Austin and Angel. I got to drive the Red Shoe (Gramma's car) which is fun to drive and easy to manuver. Austin is too tall to fit in it comfortably, but he didn't mind.
We traveled to Topeka and had hilarious adventures getting my coat off in the car. We went to the mall to get Chik Fil A and I got a Peace Tea at another place. It was crowded, but we trolled the mall and made out with fat loot. I got a little tummy achey because of my period, but it was nothing some laughs couldn't fix.
Then it was off to Good Will which turned out to be a Suck Will so I dragged everyone to Target. I got green aviator sunglasses. YEAH BOI.
Salvation Army was out final stop in Topeka where Angel got a blanket and I got a box. I love containers.
We went to Shelby's house to eat leftover Thanksgiving stuff. After more April Foolin' around I kissed Shelby goodbye, looked at the big sketchbook, and said my goodbyes to Angel and Austin.
I drove up in the dark with only Josh Groban for company.

Date: 2010-11-27 04:42 am (UTC)I broke my anti-movie rule to see Deathly Hallow Pt. 1. I am planning to sleep on the question of whether or not to post wank bait about it. Because, yes, I liked it overall, and the reasons why not only run smack into the things some people didn't like about it but also run smack into the the reasons why some other people like it. (Obviously, they're getting things wrong, right? LOL!)

Date: 2010-11-27 04:59 am (UTC)In both the book and the movie, Harry and Hermione never actually kiss. It's just an illusion created by a villain and shown to Ron to mess with Ron's mind. Ron has a thing for Hermione, but he feels insecure because Harry gets so much attention and Ron's always been in the shadows of his older brothers anyway, and the Bad Thing was trying to make him feel sad, jealous, and unworthy and so created this illusion to upset him. And that is the kiss that got the Harmonians all excited. VOLDEMORT SHIPS IT! The movie cut out the part from the book where Harry tells Ron that Ron has nothing to worry about because Harry loves Hermione like a sister, not a girlfriend. But the visuals, oh man . . . The fake!Harry&Hermione were these creepy CGI things right out of the Uncanny Valley! It was obviously not really them and kind of disturbing to look at even for (at least some of) those who are not Ron. That scene was anything but a win for Team Harmony. And yet there have been pro-movie!H/H posts popping up about how THEY KISSED YAY! And I'm just like "LOL, you're kidding, right?"
