Right-- I know of exactly one person who is actually moving to another site. I know of lots more people who are freaking out about tumblr possibly censoring their smutty fan art and not doing a single thing about it. Oh, except for reblogging a declaration that they are older than 13.
Have you seen the "I am over 13" thing yet? The explanation is that whoever started it think Yahoo wants to censor nsfw content because the Yahoo execs wrongly believe that most tumblr users are under 13, and therefore every tumblr user who is older than 13 should reblog a statement of that fact to show the Yahoo employees who constantly monitor everyone's tumblr that people over 13 are in fact the majority. That is supposed to make mean Yahoo give the stolen smut back because . . . um . . . I got nothing. You know what? I thought it was ridiculous when I first saw it going around, but typing out the words makes it seem EVEN MORE ILLOGICAL.
